One week ago, Mon. night, Oct. 17th was the night of the reception for the 'Elements' show at the Palm Desert Community Gallery. Over 100 guests came by to see the artwork . . . the gallery was thoroughly packed midway into the reception. I totally enjoyed getting to know my co-artists in the show, Jeni Bates and Gary Mergelkamp, and Deborah Schwartz, Art Coordinator better during the time leading up to the show.
I had a great time - this was definitely homecoming week for me! The group photo, second to last shows a bit of why it was so cool - my sister attended (she's heard about my receptions but hasn't had the chance to be at one 'til now), our family friend and my mother's minister Ken MacLean came by, and I was happy to have Deborah Schwartz as a central part of this. I met new art appreciators who heard about the reception, met up with an old classmate of Palm Springs High School, and spoke visited with as many as I could. So nice - I do enjoy these. See the slideshow for more .
